Where to go Glamping…

Glamping is so much more than tents. Other fun options include Shepherd’s Huts, Gypsy Caravans, Safari tents, Yurts, Geo domes, Log cabins, Bell tents and even Tree houses! And because you can find log burners and stoves in most of these it means you can get your glamping fix all year round.

Who to Bring Glamping…

Glamping is great for all sorts of occasions. Bring the family for some quality time together away from the TV and your busy schedules. Glamping is also fantastic for hen parties and stag nights, birthday parties, reunions with friends and especially for those romantic getaways where you want to feel like the only two people in the world (with the added bonus of having a pub a mile down the road!)

What to Take for Glamping…

When glamping you can enjoy all the wonderful treats your surroundings have to offer. I would take wellies and walking boots, swimming costumes, a small rucksack for day trips and a camera for capturing all your best moments.

And for times when you feel like staying closer to home, snuggled up inside your shelter, I recommend a good book, games to play, lots of delicious food to cook and bottles of fizz to drink. If you are planning a party nothing stops you from bringing a selection of fancy dress or even black tie and ball gowns!

What to Cook when Glamping…

Most glamping sites are very well equipped and although you may not find an oven, you will almost certainly be provided with a hob or electric plate. For these I like to save on the washing up and concoct exciting one-pot dishes. Try coq au vin, green thai curry, pea and prawn risotto and my all time favourite glamping dish: sausage casserole. Top it all off with a decadent homemade pudding such as dark chocolate mousse, poached pears, caramelised bananas or blueberry pancakes.
